We talk with Andrea Giglioli, the owner and CEO of Giglioli Srl, who joined Kemiex in 2021 and agreed to share his experience after his first month of activity.

Why did Giglioli decide to join Kemiex?

We are very active in trading vitamins and amino acids. Therefore, we were looking for a digital channel that would allow us to reach existing and new customers and suppliers more efficiently. Of course, we were careful in selecting the right partner for this. Kemiex, with its well-designed platform and the professional onboarding procedures convinced us.

What’s your feedback after a few weeks?

Within our first month we have been able to conclude more than 10 transactions with leading customers from Spain, Germany and Italy, ranging between €3’000 and €250’000 each. We have also been able to reconnect with some companies that we know for many years but had lost contact with. The mix of smaller businesses and well-known companies makes it an exciting tool. Apart from that, we also appreciate the market insights and news that we can check in real-time.

What do you think made you successful in Kemiex?

Similar to trading via traditional off-line channels, you need to be proactive. The tool provides plenty of opportunities, but I believe it’s the responsibility of users to take advantage of them. As a seller that means quoting fast and supporting the customer with your expertise. For that, Kemiex has built an industry-specific platform, which allows to quote, chat and negotiate seamlessly with the customer and even enables you to directly insure transactions with Atradius. Therefore, you can benefit from digitalization while being able to have private conversations with your customers as you’ve always done.

To whom would you recommend Kemiex?

I can mainly speak for the feed industry, but there I could really recommend it to all companies that deal with raw materials and want to prepare for the new normal after the pandemic. The tool is secure and very intuitive to use, so you can start from your first day without long introductions or trainings.
