It has been a remarkable week and milestone for our fast growing company as we could reap two of the most wanted awards in the pharmaceutical industry. Right after receiving the first GDP certificate ever issued to an "internet" platform, Kemiex was also granted the CPhI Pharma Award 2019 for innovation in "supply chain management, logistics and distribution".
We are proud and honored to get recognized for our pioneering role in innovating the trade of raw materials such as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), vitamins, amino acids and other food/feed additives.
Regulatory changes in Switzerland pave the way for increased oversight of agents and internet platforms dealing with pharmaceutical ingredients
The revision of the Therapeutic Products Act (TPA) now explicitly recognises broker, agency and online activities as "distribution" activities and imposes a clear requirement to obtain a licence from Swissmedic.
After inspection of our Quality Management system, Swissmedic issued GDP certificate no 511227-102605178 on 30th Oct 2019. It marks the first GDP license ever issued to an "internet" platform. We expect the European Union and the U.S. to follow such proactive approach to accentuate regulation for brokers, agents and internet platforms.
